The Saint Thomas Aquinas High School Speech and the Debate Club, also known as the Forensics Team, has the reputation of being one of the most unique clubs on campus. Students compete locally and travel to national tournaments throughout the school year: Yale, Harvard, and Emory, to name a few.   The program trains students in self-confidence and public speaking. Additionally, students analyze, interpret, cut, memorize, and perform pieces of literature to develop stage voices, oral skills, and effective argumentative techniques. A branch of the program focuses on extensive researching, debating two on two, and discussing various domestic and foreign current events. Despite the individual competition, each participant engages in a fun team-oriented experience.
