Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry

The Campus Ministry program supports a blend of religious studies and faith experiences. In addition to learning about Jesus, students develop an authentic faith formation through prayer and service.
Campus Ministry

All students participate in school Masses on Holy Days and other special occasions. During the school year, various religious programs–class liturgies, reconciliation services, and speakers–supplement the regular theology curriculum. During Advent and Lent, students celebrate communal penance services and have the opportunity for individual confession.

In the school chapel at 7:20 a.m., members of the school community have the opportunity to attend Mass on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a Communion Service on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The Campus Ministry Program includes the following:

  • Eucharistic minister training
  • Faith study and sharing
  • Leadership
  • Liturgical ministries
  • Nights of Fellowship
  • Reconciliation
  • Sacramental preparation

The program encourages students to take part in their own parishes by serving as Eucharistic ministers, lectors, altar servers, and CCD teachers and prepares students for the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation during the year. Classes for this purpose enable students to celebrate and receive the Sacraments of Initiation in their parishes at the appropriate time.

The supplemental theology programs include the following:

  • Abstinence
  • AIDS awareness
  • Campus Ministry Club
  • Interact
  • Raiders for Life
  • Social Justice Club
  • Vocation speakers
  • Witnesses for Life
